Craft  in mechanical engineering(TVET)

This is a 2 year KNEC course that aims to equip learners with fundamental knowledge in mechanical works.Qualification to pursue craft certificate in mechanical engineering is a KCSE mean grade D (plain) OR a pass at level 2 NVCET option 1. Careers in craft  in mechanical engineering includes hands on craft men in industry, government departments and Non Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and self employment.

Diploma in mechanical engineering(TVET)

This is a 3 year KNEC course that aims to equip learners with more advanced knowledge in Mechanical engineering with more concentration on plant engineering and production engineering. Qualification to pursue KNEC diploma in mechanical engineering is KCSE mean grade C- (minus) OR a pass in relevant craft certificate at level 2. Careers in diploma in mechanical engineering includes middle level supervisors with hands-on capabilities to work in: industry, government departments and non Governmental Organizations (NGOs).

Diploma in mechanical engineering(Production option)(TVET)

This is a 3 year KNEC course under technical and vocational education training(TVET) that aims to impact learners with technical hands-on knowledge in mechanical engineering with more emphasis on production engineering. Qualification to pursue KNEC diploma in mechanical engineering production option is a KCSE mean grade C- (minus) OR any pass in relevant craft course OR other equivalent qualification approved by KNEC.
