Craft certificate in information technology is a KNEC course under Business TVET craft certificate line of courses.A student will require the following minimum qualifications to be able to pursue CCIT

  • KCSE D Plain
  • Pass in Artisan Level where applicable
  • Any other relevant qualification as approved by KNEC.
    NB:This course is covered in two(2) modules,with each module taking a duration of two(2years) including a compulsory industrial attachment.
    Upon completion of this course,a student can either proceed to diploma in ICT or choose within the following career paths.

Diploma in information communication technology

Diploma in information communication technology is a KNEC course under Business TVET line of courses. To pursue this course, an applicant ought to have met the following minimum qualification(s)

  • KCSE C minus(-)
  • Pass on a craft certificate course where applicable
  • Any other relevant qualification that has been approved by KNEC

This course is divided into three(3) modules,with each module taking approximately 1 year to complete.A compulsory industrial attachment is required at the end of the course.
Upon successful completion of the course, a candidate can proceed to a degree in university or choose among the following market careers;

  • ICT officer
  • Software engineering support assistant
  • Data centre operator
  • Web and mobile application developer
  • Entrepreneur(Cyber cafe,phone repairs,laptop repairs )
  • ICT equipment(s) after sale service assistant
