Grade 8 marks the second year of lower secondary schools in Kenya’s CBE curriculum.At grade 8,leaners upgrade the foundation skills acquired at grade 7.Grade 8 emphasize practical approach on the skills already acquired at grade 7.Teachers of this level are encouraged to strictly follow KICD curriculum designs and ensure that 60 percent of learning is centered on a practical approach to ensure that learners are well prepared to transition to grade 9.
